Distress Spray Stain Card Tutorial

Here is a fun, but simple celebration card I made using several different products.

I used watercolour paper, cut to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ as the front of my card.  I chose to use the following Distress Spray Stains:

Using a spray box,   http://www.treasuredmemoriescanada.com I placed my watercolour paper inside to avoid making a mess on my desk.
Using the chosen colours, I sprayed a little at a time in a desired pattern.  When I was satisfied with the first coat, I used my heat tool to dry the ink.
I continued spraying various colours, drying each coat in-between layers.

I then used the Neat and Tangled Balloon Duo Stencil and embossing paste to create the balloons.  Being impatient, I hastened the drying process by using my heat tool.

Using Neenah Solar White 110LB cardstock, I cut out the word and background “Hooray” from Neat and Tangled Hooray Word Die Set.  Again, I used my spray box to spray the background Hooray with the Twisted Citron Distress Spray Stain & waited for it to dry before adhering the top layer of “Hooray” with my Art Institute Glitter Glue & metal fine tip (makes it super easy!).

The card front was placed onto a card base made from Neenah Solar White 80lb cardstock.  I glued the “Hooray” in place.

I wanted to add some subtle shimmer so I used Wink of Stella White over the dried embossing paste and the white “Horray”.

Lastly, I added sequins (I specifically used the Pink Lemonade sequin mix).  The Art Institute Glitter Glue is perfect for adhering the sequins because it dries perfectly clear & fast!
